Hello user, welcome to the official DarkRP Server Rules. By coming to this page you agree that you have read all the rules fully and thoroughly and you agree not to break any of the rules listed. Here at nebula networks we strive to create the best game experience possible for the users. And just like any server, there needs to be rules enforced. Rules highlighted in BLUE are recently added rules. Last Update: November 7, 2016 General Server Rules - Use common sense. - Hacking is not tolerated. You will be permanently banned and you will not be able to submit a ban appeal. - Do not flame/disrespect other players. (includes OOC blackmail/bribery) - Do not abuse any exploits or glitches. Instead report them on the Forums. - If you are killed in crossfire, this is not considered RDM. - Do not spam anything. This includes: Voice Chat, Regular Chat, Lock Downs, Car Horns, ETC. - Do not randomly attack or interfere with a player for no reason. - Do not demote anybody if staff are online. Contact staff if you have a problem. - If you are demoted for a false reason, do not revenge demote. - Do not use excessive Caps in OOC. - Read job descriptions before becoming the job. - Do not RolePlay in spawn. - Do not vape anywhere near spawn. - Do not block NPC'S or World Props/Entities. This includes: Banks and Ammo Dispensers. - When in a sit, you have 30 seconds to comply with the staff member before you get kicked. - Do not copy another players RP Name. You will be forced to change. It must be a legal name. - OOC is English only. - You may not bundle adverts. Example: /ad Mug, Kidnap, Raid, Mug. However you may Bundle the same kind of advert. Ex. /ad Raid/Assist/PartyRaid. - Threatening to DDoS players or the server itself will lead to a instant permanent ban. - Vulgar or Racist sprays are not allowed. - We are a non-racial community. If you are being racist towards any players you will be permanently banned and not allowed to submit a ban appeal. - Do not body block at all. - Do not break rules to enforce rules. If there is a problem contact staff or report it on the forums. - Do not camera spam. - Do not leave the server to avoid punishment or being stolen from. - All default laws are always active. The mayor cannot change the default laws. - Do not kill players for disrespect. Instead report them to staff. - Do not build on the roads. Government Officials are only allowed to do this. But they may only build Checkpoints. - Do not use drugs to do any criminal action. - If you are Resisting arrest the Government Officials may kill you. - Staff have the final say. If you don't like their decision, report it on the forums. Chat & Advert Rules - Do not spam chat. This includes OOC and Admin Chat. - You must advert Raids, Mugings, Kidnappings and Rapings, - Do not use OOC chat for roleplay. Do not use advert chat for OOC chat. - Do not swear excessively in any chat. - You must advert grenades. Ex. /ad Grenade Incoming! Building & Prop-Related Rules 1. Building Rules - Do not trap other players in there own bases. - Do not use props to hide entities or raidables from players. - Do not build any inappropriate structures. - Do not build in public unless your job allows it. (See job rules for specifics) - Do not build misleading entrances in your base. - Raiders must have enough space for 2 people to fit in and their weapons free of movement. - Do not force raiders into any awkward situations. This includes crouch tunnels, jumping over props, ETC. - You may not prop block any of your entrances to your base. All entrances must be accessible by people. - You may put up a Building Sign but you may not have any raidables inside your base while your building. - You may only have 1 kill window per 1 fading door. - Kill windows and Fading Doors must only use the "Wireframe" Material. - You may not have one-way see through props. This includes the framebar prop and the world glow glitch. 2. Keypads and Buttons Rules - All keypads must have a hold length of 5 seconds or longer. - Do abuse fading doors during a raid. This means that you use your key bind on your keyboard to open up the Kill Window or Door. - You may not have fake keypads. Fake keypads means that there are keypads in your base that lead to nothing. - Your buttons and keypads must be fully accessible. - When using your kill windows during a raid, they must be toggled on for 3 seconds or longer. 3. Fading Door Rules - You are allowed a maximum of 5 Fading Doors through out your entire base. - You are allowed up to 2 Fading Doors per room in your base/building. - Kill windows do not count towards these limits. - Your fading door must have a gap where 2 people can fit in and their guns must not lower while they are in the gap. - Do not use fading doors to trap other players. - Do not put a fading door up against a world door. They players must be able to walk through the world door and fit inside of the gap between the fading door and the world door. - All fading doors and kill windows must be see through. 4. World Door Rules - The owner of the main doors is the owner of the building. It does not matter if another person owns a door inside the base, they are still considered the owner of that establishment. - You must sell the doors to a building if you are not using it anymore. - Do not repeatedly open and close a door to block a player from going in or out of that door. - You may only own doors to one establishment at a time. - Do not spam your keys on a door to make the annoying knocking sound. You are still allowed to knock just don't spam it. - You may not buy a establishment then put it up for rent or sale it to another player. 5. Camera Rules - Do not spawn Cameras in to see into other peoples bases/properties. - You may not block Cameras at all. - Cameras should be noticeable at all times. - Cameras must be attached/welded to the wall or a base prop. - Manipulating your Cameras to make it where you can see people but they can't see the Camera is not allowed at all. 6. Textscreen Rules - Do not place Text Screens on someone's else property without their permission. - Please remove any text screens that you are no longer using anymore. - You are allowed to have KOS signs but they must be only be on the confines of your base. - Your KOS sign may not have stupid restrictions or limitations that would be unfair to other players. - You are not allowed to have KOS lines on your KOS sign. - You may have a loitering sign. It must be 15+ seconds. 6. Prop Properties Rules - Do not use create invisible props. - You may not use No-Collided props in certain ways where it gives you a advantage over other players. - Do not use or create One Way Props. - Fading doors need to be a different material then the other props around them. - You may not use Prop Properties on props to give yourself a advantage over others. - You may only use a see through material on your Fading Doors and Kill Windows. Server Activity Rules 1. Groups & Basing Rules - To base with all members in your group, you all must be in a party. - Criminals may only base with other criminal classes. Guards are excluded from this rule. - You may protect your group members if they are being harmed. - You may kill intruders if they are not welcome. Must have a KOS Sign. - You may kill players for loitering. It must be 15 seconds or longer before you start warning them. - You may not base on inaccessible areas. - Government Officials may not base with criminal classes. However they may hire Mercenary's and guards to do their deeds for them.(Must be corrupt) - You may not connect multiple buildings together. - Basing/having raidables in a secret room or a inaccessible are is not allowed. - Gangs must not base with other gangs. - The mob bosses are allowed to own 2 buildings, however they are still required to follow the fading door limit. 2. Raiding Rules - When Raiding you must advert raid. - If you die in a raid you can't return back to the raid. - Once you have started a raid and you decide to leave you may not return back. This is considered a failed raid. - If you are defending your base from a raid, you may not defend it from the outside. - While Raiding, you may not kill anybody outside of the base unless they are attacking you. - While Raiding, you may not build inside of the base you are raiding. - You may not bait people to raid you. This means provoking or adverting players to raid you. - You may not raid people with a building sign. - You may not build inside of your base while you are being raided. - You have a maximum of 10 minutes to raid the base you are raiding. - You must wait 20 minutes before raiding the same person. - You must wait 5 minutes before raiding another property. - You may Counter Raid. You may go inside the property that is being raided and kill the raiders then leave. - You must advert Counter Raid. - You may not counter raid Government Raids. Ex. PD Raid. - Government Officials are excluded from the 3 minute timer. However the 15 minute timer still stays in place. - Government Officials may only break NLR when a Government Raid is taking place. 3. Muggging Rules - When mugging, you must advert Mug. - You cannot mug Hobo's and Government Officials. - You may only mug in non-frequent areas. Such as Alleyways dark places and behind buildings. - You are only allowed to mug people for a maximum amount of $5000. - You may only mug people for money. Nothing else. - You must give the person you are mugging at least 10 seconds to drop the money. - You may only mug 1 person at a time. - If you are mugging within a group only one person may get the payment. - You may not kill the person that you are mugging if they gave you the money. - You must wait 10 minutes before mugging the same person. - You must wait 3 minutes before mugging another person. 4. Kidnapping Rules - You are allowed to illegally kidnap people. - You may only kidnap one person at a time. Your allowed to have multiple kidnapped people in your base. You're just not allowed to kidnap more then one person at a time. - You may hold the kidnapped player for ransom. You have to execute the kidnapped player if you have held them longer for 10 minutes. - Maximum amount of ransom is $25000. - You are allowed to resist a kidnapping. - You must advert your kidnapping. - Do not kidnap AFK players. - Give at least 5 seconds to the person you are kidnapping to comply with your orders. - You must wait 30 minutes before kidnapping the same player. - You must wait 5 minutes before kidnapping another player. - You are allowed to kill the kidnapper if you already have a gun out. - When a player is kidnapped you may not pickpocket them. - If a player is resisting to comply with you, you may kill them. - You must kidnap players in secluded areas. Ex. Alley Ways and Behind Buildings. 5. Hit Rules - You must have a real RP reason for placing hits on people. - You may not place hits on someone who killed you in your past life. - You may not beg for hits. This includes going up to someone and asking them "Place a hit". 6. PD Raid Rules - You cannot raid the PD unless there are more then 3 Government Officials. - Government Officials may return to a PD raid if they were killed during the raid. - You must have at least 2 or members in a group to raid the PD. 7. War Rules - Mafia leaders and the cats and dogs may declare war on each other. If the opposing team accepts, war is now declared. - During war members of each group can kill the opposing group. - Do not spawn camp the other group. - War lasts for 15 minutes, unless the other group calls truce. - Only the mafia members and leader may participate in the war. - Only the mafia members and the leader may kill the opposing groups. - Only the cats and dogs may kill the opposing group. Specific Rules Random Death Match - You must have a valid reason for killing someone. - You are allowed to defend yourself or your teammates if you are being attacked or stolen from. - You or your teammates may kill players who refuse to leave you or your teammates alone. You must warn them at least 3 times. You must give the player  at least 10 seconds to comply. - You may not kill a player if they have threatened you in any way. - You may not kill someone because they disrespected you. - You may only kill the mayor if you are a criminal job. - You must have a valid reason for placing a hit for a hitman. - If you are resisting arrest you may be killed by the CP's. - Holding a weapon out is not a valid reason to kill someone. New Life Rule - Once you die you forget everything in your past life. - You may not use information from your past life in your new life, excluding your base and keypad codes for your base. - You may not return to your death area for 3 minutes. - If you are killed during a raid you may not return to your base. You must wait till your NLR timer is up. - Any government officials are allowed to return back to a Bank Raid if they are killed. Meta Gaming - You are not allowed to use information from OOC while roleplaying.  - You don't know if they Hitman has a hit, based upon the text above their head. - As a government official you don't know the special phrases for doing illegal things. Ex. You dont know that "a pizza" is a hit. - Using the kill log to tell who killed who is meta gaming. (The death notifications in the top right) Demotions - Do not demote players if staff are online. - You are only allowed to demote someone if staff are not online and they are breaking the rules.  - Do not demote players for false reasons. - Do not immediately demote someone just because they RDM someone. Make sure your 100% positive that they are breaking the rules. Prop Minging  - Do not block or trap players with props or entities. - Do not throw props around. Self Supply - Do not change your job to a vendor to supply yourself or your own teammates with something from that job. Ex. I become the gun dealer and give myself a shipments of M4A1 - You may self-supply if they are no other vendors online.  Fail RP - You may not engage or roleplay in roleplay that seems inappropriate. - Do not excessively disrespect or shoot players. - You may not do certain tasks that your job was not designed too. (See Job Rules for more information) - You must do your jobs duties. - You may not betray your group or teammates. Government Officials are excluded from this if they are corrupt. - Do not raid bait. Basically placing a text screen or adverting someone to raid you. - When being attacked, mugged, or kidnapped you may not pursue your attackers. - You may not carry weapons or items that would be inaccessible to your job. Ex. Medkit, Stunstick, Police Baton, ETC. -  You must have a valid reason to shoot your weapon. Do not just shoot windows or buildings for no valid rp reason. - You may not make drugs or use printers in the public. Fear RP - When your life is in danger, you must act scared. - When you are held at gunpoint you may not pull a gun larger then a pistol. - If you already have a weapon out you may attack your attacker. Illegal Activity, Actions, and Items - Using printers is illegal. - Buying guns from the Black Market Dealer is illegal. - Buying drugs form the Drug Dealer is illegal. - Stealing, Mugging, Kidnapping, Raiding, Carjacking, and Raping are considered illegal actions. - Placing hits on players. Job Rules Civilians Rules - You may not do any Illegal Activity. - You may set a custom job as long as it follows RP rules. - You may not set your custom job to any job that already exists.  - You may not build in public. Dog Rules - You may not do any Illegal Activity. - You are able to go to war with the cats. - You may not build at all. - You may base with someone. - Someone may adopt you. - You may not own any weapons at all. Cat Rules - You may not do any Illegal Activity. - You are able to go to war with the dogs. - You may not build at all. - You may base with someone. - Someone may adopt you. - You may not own any weapons at all. Hobo Rules - You may not do any Illegal Activity. - You may build little shacks or box forts to live in. - You may build gambling contraptions and have it open to the public. - Do not build your home in front of a players entrance. - If the owner of the base you are building next to asks you to remove your base you must comply with them. - You may not own a weapon larger then a handgun. - Do not spam the Bugbait swep. - You are allowed to play music through your mic, however if they tell you to stop you must comply. - You may not build any fading doors. Doctor Rules - You may not do any illegal activity. - People are allowed to hire you for your services. - You may not deny players your service. However you are allowed to charge them money. - Once your employer dies in raid, you must end the raid. - You may not own a weapon larger then a pistol. - You may not DIRECTLY assist in raids. You are only allowed to heal your other teammates.  - You are allowed to build a mini express shop. You can build on the streets but your shop must be on the sidewalk.  DJ Rules - You may not do any illegal activity. - You are allowed to mic spam.  - People can warn you to stop and if you don't comply then can kill you. They must advert warn 3 times with 5 seconds in between each warn.  - You may not own a weapon larger then a pistol.  Mechanic Rules - You may not do any illegal activity. - You can build a Mechanic shop. - You may charge people for your services. - You may not own a weapon larger then a pistol.  Prostitute Rules - You may not do any illegal activity. - You may not own any weapons - You are allowed to charge people for your services. Pianist Rules - You may not do any illegal activity. - You may place your Piano on the streets. - People can give you tips but are not forced too. - If your Piano is close to someone else's base and they ask you to move it you must comply. Hirable Rules Security Guard - You may do illegal activity if your employer can. - You are allowed to own any weapon. - You may only assist in illegal activity if your employer can. If your employer dies you must stop whatever you and your employer was doing. - You are not allowed to betray your employer. - You must base with your employer. - Your job name must be "[Employer Names] Guard". Hitman Rules - You may do illegal activity. - You are allowed to only own snipers and pistols.  - You may assist in raids if you know your target is inside the base that is being raided.  You may not start the raid yourself. - You may only kill people that you have been payed to kill. This excludes you defending yourself or protecting your teammates.  - You must wait at least 15 minutes before accepting another hit on the same person.  - You must wait at least 2 minutes before accepting a hit on a different person. - You may not ask people to place a hit on a certain person.  - Hitmans are not allowed to base with anybody other then other hitmans. Mercenary Rules - You may do illegal activity if your employer can. - You are allowed to own any weapon. - You may only assist in illegal activity if your employer can. If your employer dies you must stop whatever you and your employer was doing. - You are not allowed to betray your employer. - You must base with your employer. - Your job name must be "[Employer Names] Mercenary". Vendor Rules Gun Dealer - You may not do illegal activity. However you are allowed to own printers. - You must setup a store to sell your weapons. - You are not allowed to deny your services.  - You are only allowed to sell your weapons in your shop or through a automatic vendor system.  - You are not allowed to base with any criminals.  - You are not allowed to scam. Gun Smith - You may not do illegal activity. However you are allowed to own printers. - You must setup a store to sell your attachments. - You are not allowed to deny your services.  - You are only allowed to sell your attachments in your shop or through a automatic vendor system.  - You are not allowed to base with any criminals.  - You are not allowed to scam.
